Life in a coliving has its own rhythm. At Horizonte Coliving, that rhythm comes with the ring of a bell, the aroma of fresh coffee, and the warmth of people who share much more than just an address. It’s not only about having a place to stay, it’s about inhabiting a living space that beats, breathes, and transforms every single day, while keeping rituals that make everyone feel at home.

Morning: Waking Up with the Aroma of Minas Gerais

Around 9 AM or 10 AM, the day at Horizonte Coliving begins with a special moment. One of the residents takes on the sacred mission of brewing freshly ground coffee. This ritual started with a former resident of the Mangabeiras house: Cristiano, also known as Cris, The Barista. He was already a partner of our coliving long before living here, supplying specialty coffees harvested in Minas Gerais, always freshly roasted and of impeccable quality. Today, if you want to find him, just visit our unit in Santa Tereza. There he runs Quintal do Barista, a coffee shop located right in our backyard.

Going back to Mangabeiras, the tradition created by Cris himself continues: we ring the bell in the living room to let everyone know the coffee is ready. You just have to hear the metallic sound echoing through the house to know, but you better hurry! Good coffee is freshly brewed coffee... and, if you blink, it runs out before you even notice.

The meeting point is the dining room, where our coffee corner is located: grinder, kettle, filters, and all the equipment to prepare the perfect beverage. That is where the day truly begins, amidst warm sips and laughter. After this moment, everyone goes their own way: some open their laptops for remote work, others grab their backpacks and go explore Belo Horizonte, while some leave for in-person work in the city, taking the welcoming energy of coliving with them.

Five friends laugh around a dining table in a bright rustic room with stone wall and arched windows.

Afternoon: Focus and Productivity

Afternoons at Horizonte are, for the most part, a time to focus. The gentle sound of keyboards fills the living room, which naturally transforms into a coworking space. Sometimes, someone cooks a quick lunch and invites another resident to join, but nothing is ever overplanned. It’s the kind of natural coexistence where interaction happens spontaneously, without forced encounters.

And yes, every now and then, in the middle of the hustle, the bell rings again. That means it’s time for the second coffee of the day. Sometimes it’s just a quick pit stop, but depending on the mood, it can turn into a conversation that stretches for an entire hour. In those moments, it feels like all the deadlines in the world can wait just a little longer.

Evening and Night: The Warm Glow of Shared Moments

As the sun sets, Horizonte takes on a different face. The living room lights up with its 23 warm-white bulbs, which feel more like a cozy golden glow. Combined with the comfortable furniture, the atmosphere sets the perfect stage for whatever the night brings. And here, nothing is scripted. Sometimes, conversations between residents wrap up quickly as everyone follows their own plans. Other times, the night unfolds around a vinyl spinning on the record player, a board game, a movie projected on the wall, a cocktail at the bar counter, or even a spontaneous invitation to explore Belo Horizonte’s botecos, the city’s beloved local bars.

There’s no pressure to always be together, but there’s always space to share. That freedom, combined with a true sense of belonging, is what makes the experience of living here so unique.

More Than an Address: A Way of Living

Living at Horizonte Coliving is not just about having a furnished room and shared spaces. It’s about being part of a community that values good moments, even if they last only as long as a cup of coffee. Here, everyday life is built on small rituals: the ring of a bell, the aroma of coffee, the cozy glow of warm lights at night. Simple things, but the kind that stay with you the most.isas simples, mas que, no fim das contas, são as que mais ficam na memória.
